Ramply privacy policy
Last updated 3 November 2026.
Who we are
Ramply is a Shopify app made by Bryla, a design and development studio from Ukraine. Contact: ramply@bryla.dev.
What we store
- Your shop’s domain and current Ramply plan.
- The access token Shopify gives the app, used only to call the Shopify API for your shop.
- Your storefront password, if you enter one. It is encrypted and used only to open your store for scans.
- Scan results: the addresses of the pages checked, the score, and for each problem the rule, a short piece of the page’s HTML and where it sits in your theme.
- PDF reports of your last 10 scans.
- Image descriptions: the product ID, title and image address, the old and the new alt text, and how many descriptions you used this month.
- Your settings, such as report emails and the description language.
What we do not store
Ramply stores no personal data about your shoppers and does not read orders or customers. Scans visit your public storefront like a shopper would; to check the cart page they add one product to a cart in their own browser session, which never reaches checkout. Your shop’s email is read from Shopify when a report is sent and is not kept. Nothing is added to your storefront, and the app has no analytics or tracking of its own.
How we use it
To scan your store, show and email the report, publish the accessibility statement you ask for, and write and save image descriptions. We do not sell this data or share it for advertising.
Who else processes it
- The app and its database run on a Hetzner server in Germany.
- Nightly database backups stay on that server for 14 days, and an encrypted copy stays on Google Drive for 30 days.
- Shopify processes the data it needs to run the app and its billing.
- Resend delivers report emails and receives your shop’s email address, the report and the PDF.
- Anthropic receives a product image and its title when Ramply writes a description, and returns the text.
Deleting your data
When you uninstall Ramply, your access token, storefront password and any queued work are deleted right away. Scans, reports and image descriptions stay until Shopify sends its shop data deletion request, about 48 hours later, and are then deleted from the database. Backups containing them expire within 30 days. To ask for earlier deletion or a copy of your data, write to ramply@bryla.dev.
